Tyre Pressure monitoring system

TPMS SENSOR VALVE SERVICE AND REPLACEMENT

Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems, or TPMS, constantly monitor tyre pressures using  sensors that are fitted in all four wheels on the vehicle, and alert the driver with a visual and/or audible warning if there is any change in pressure or temperature.

Having TPMS fitted to your vehicle improves your safety as the system checks tyre pressure every few seconds reducing your chance of a blow out or accident related to tyre pressure, and also helps save you time as there’s no need to carry out manual pressure checks. TPMS can also save you money as having the correct tyre pressure maximises tyre life and also helps improve fuel efficiency.

TyreFinders are fully equipped to look after your tyre pressure monitoring system, with valve service kits and a wide range of replacement sensors in stock, and we also have full TPMS diagnostic abilities which means we can program new sensors to your vehicles ECU at a significant saving compared to using a main dealer.

MOT and TPMS

Vehicles fitted with a TPMS as standard and which were first used or registered on or after the 1st January 2012, will have their TPMS tested as part of the MOT road worthiness test from the 1st January 2015 onwards. A car displaying a TPMS fault when submitted for its MOT will result in a test failure.
